Sydney Stonemasons was established in 2008 by third-generation Stonemason Roscoe Hannagan after living in London and abroad working on numerous heritage project’s including the Monument in London. He has been developing his skills since he was five years old with his father, David Hannagan, a Master Mason from London who inspired him to devote his life to the elegance and art of stonemasonry.

Bringing his expertise to Sydney, Roscoe has developed Sydney Stonemasons to be among the premier stonemasonry companies in the city working on a number of prestige and high-profile heritage, commercial and residential project’s including the Museum of Contemporary Art-Sydney (MCA), The Royal Botanical Gardens, Australian Museum, Wollongong Court House, Centennial Park, H&M Pitt St, Cockatoo Island Chimney, Our Lady of China-Miranda, Hornsby Aquatic Center, Vibe Hotel Sydney and Shore School North Sydney to name a few along with hundreds of heritage, commercial and residential projects in the country.

Roscoe Hannagan

Director
Roscoe is a third generation stonemason and the Founder Director of Sydney Stonemasons. After leaving school he started his studies of stonemasonry at Miller Tafe while under the guidance of his Father David a master Mason from London. He Furthered his studies in London in 2005 – 2008 and worked on the Tower of London and various other high profile landmarks. With over 20 years of stonemasonry experience both locally and internationally, he prides himself on finding out exactly what his clients need and exceeding expectations time after time.

Robert Kilpatrick

Project Manager
Robert got his first taste of stonemasonry whilst on work experience at the age of 14. He instantly fell in love with the craft and upon leaving school began his apprenticeship at Glasgow Metropolitan college in Scotland. During his apprenticeship Robert had the opportunity to work on a number of buildings with great historical significance including Kinloch castle on the isle of Rùm. Since completing his apprenticeship Robert’s passion for masonry has continued to grow and is reflected in his quality of work. Since joining Sydney Stonemasons Robert has overseen a number of completed and ongoing projects such as the Anzac Memorial-Hyde Park, Shore School-North Sydney and The Australian Museum-Sydney just a few to name.
