Scope of work: Sydney Stonemasons were engaged to carry out the internal heritage restoration work at Australian Musem- Project Discover. Scope included numerous mortar repairs throughout the building and installation of new sandstone cladding to match existing. Also, complete repointing work to the inside sandstone building, create new door openings and reveals, lead paint removal, and full sandstone cleaning. Sydney Stonemasons used sandstone from within the building itself to match existing. Extra stones needed was sourced from the Public Works Stockpile.
